Fitness Boxing Articles at a bargain

Boxing is only something for hard guys, a classical man's sport? By no means! Maybe not everybody has got it yet, but boxing is also wonderfully suited to become – and to remain fit! There is even a special term for this sport already; consequentially, it is called "Fitness Boxing". Let’s have a closer look, what this is exactly about and which equipment one needs for this trend sport.

What is Fitness Boxing?

The term already explains it quite clearly: Fitness Boxing it is not about staging a classic fist-fight with an opponent. Rather, the movements and sequences of boxing are used for this to lift the body to a new level of physical fitness. Originally, Fitness Boxing merely consisted of the usual training at the punching bag or without opponents with the typical steps and arm or hand movements respectively. Meanwhile, there are various types of Fitness Boxing however, which we would like to introduce to you here a little more closely:

Boxing-Aerobics

As the name already indicates, Boxing-Aerobics consists of the elements boxing and aerobics. This actually means: choreography is worked out to music in which the punching steps and movements are then incorporated. The coach determines the movements, the pupils incorporating these dance movements in the choreography. Boxing-Aerobics is also suitable for complete beginners and requires only little exercise and endurance.

Boxing-Conditioning

In contrast to boxing-aerobics, with Boxing-Conditioning, less value is placed on the movements to the music, for, the sporty elements are more at the fore here. Components of classical circuit training are added to typical boxing elements, for example, push-ups, knee-bends, jumping rope etc. Most of the time, several stations are set up which are subsequently completed (to running music). In doing so, boxing elements such as hitting on the punching bag can also be incorporated. Boxing-Conditioning can be pursued individually or in the form of small groups.

Boxout

This variation of fitness boxing goes even more in the direction of "real" boxing. Here aerobics remains in the background; nevertheless, elements of athletics and circuit training are incorporated in the exercises. However, all exercises are performed in full boxing gear – that is, with boxing gloves. To some extent, short boxing matches with a real opponent can also be incorporated in the exercises.

Tae-Bo

Some years ago, a wave named Tae-Bo slopped over here from the USA. This is also a combination of elements of boxing and of aerobics; however here dance-like aspects are in the fore. The whole is meant to represent a perfect choreography with aesthetic movements and acrobatic interludes. Meanwhile, Tae-Bo is offered in innumerable fitness studios and dancing schools in Germany.

These were only a few examples of the different variants, which have meanwhile crystallized out of Fitness Boxing. Individual studios partly develop their own variants, and new ones keep being added.

All variations of Fitness Boxing have in common, that they are laid out to exercise all muscle groups in the body as far as possible. In addition, endurance and speed-strength are effectively exercised and boosted. The same is true, by the way, for the psyche. By means of Fitness Boxing, the athlete learns to go for his personal limit and maybe to even overcome it once. And, finally, Fitness Boxing promotes the group identity and it’s simply fun!

Skyboxing

A new and really great trend sport is the Skyboxing. This is virtually an advancement of well-known variants such as Tae Bo, consisting of elements of Kickboxing and Aerobic. Here, the exercises are however carried out without partners and are deliberately designed to be learned and carried out easily. Due to the varied moves and the high fitness level, at present, Skyboxing experiences an extremely large approval. So, whoever wishes to do lots of good to his body and his soul is perfectly fine with Skyboxing!

The sport was developed by 8-times Kickboxing world champion and acting WKU President Klaus Nonnemacher. The abbreviation WKU stands for “World Kickboxing and Karate Union” – an association founded in the year 2012 by Klaus Nonnemacher and other combat sport athletes, whose title fights were i.a. staged in the “Steko Fight Nights” known from TV.

By the way: You can learn Skyboxing professionally earning the corresponding certificate during one of the KWON Academy Weekends.

They all have in common: with this new type of sport you train your entire body effectively; and the psyche is not missed out either.
